AI ON THE PLATE
Artificial intelligence (AI) is in no way a "new" field. The term was
actually coined in the 1950s. But it's certainly made headlines in
recent months thanks to the launch of AI chatbot ChatGPT and
even the strike in Hollywood, in which actors and writers expressed
concerns with how production companies are using AI technology.
There are different uses for AI throughout all fields. And there are no
doubt mixed thoughts on the topic as well. But when it comes to the
food industry, it seems like the pros might outweigh the cons.
In this issue of Urner Barry's Reporter we're highlighting how different
companies in the food space are using artificial intelligence to reduce
waste, increase profit and change how we operate for the better.
